The following is an example that I have produced of what can hopefully become our own 3D liverpool. Im going to produce an plan of the city centre and basically represent the buildings as blocks to demonstrate how the city could be massed, may be good to show the future of the city skyline!

I cant remember were i got the aerial shot of the city, ive had it for ages, but in case Scouserdave comes on, ITS NOT ONE OF YOURS (only kidding lol) No we have a database at uni of pictures, i think i got it from there originally, its a pic from early 1990's so it makes it a little easier to understand in terms of raising the building's up because lets face it, there was little development then as you can see from Princes Dock.

At each stage of the models development i will add pics to the forum. U can change the image of the model aswell so im looking at adding skins to the blocks which are similiar or identical to that of the buildings in question for close up's etc, all makes it look a little more real.

again, i will keep this thread as up to date with it as possible, im hoping this can become an experimentation board of our own eventually!

latest images, been working on detailing the buildings, well the more prominant ones, will introduce that soon. In these images ive added the central station tower, alexandra tower, Beetham bullet and Lime Street tower.

Scouseyuppie, excellent the added detail on the buildings looks great.

Some people are never satisfied, but if this could be converted into an mpeg to fly around, it would be fantastic!! I reckon LCC planners would use it, show them what they're screwing up!

yeah turning into a m-peg "fly-through" would be a good idea, i will speak to some people who are good with that sort of thing, see if it can be arranged!

Some more cityscape examples guys, maybe this will get noticed by our backward planners, ive included some additional tower ideas, one behind municipal buildings and a tower on the coach station site, just to see how high rises in these sections might add!
