To me, it is one thing to be Jewish, but another thing to be an Israeli.

I consider myself Israeli first, mostly because of religious people trying to make jewishness a religion, and not a nationality. But with regards to this forum, everyone is welcome. :)

Id love to learn about Jewish Persians in Israel...theres very little information out there on that community.

Jews are a race as well. we are a race that adopted a certain religion which is unique to us, but when you give up the religion you stay a Jew – once a jew always a jew :)

I find Judiaism to be more of a religion than a race. This is also mentioned in biology books. Of course I am a secular Jew, so my religion is pretty much nomial. Regaurdless to that, being a Jew is a religion, while being an Israeli is a nationality. Either way, you don't need to be Jew to go to Israel, b/c it's mostly secular anyway.

Israel is also known for Christian, Muslims, Bahians, Bediouns, and monks hence it's not just for Jews.
