VelesHomais June 11th, 2005, 11:59 PM It's a joke. It sounds funny in Russian.
Pollux75 June 12th, 2005, 12:55 AM Whats the deal with Moldova? WHy is it a troubled country?:?
Isn't it not in control of its entire territory?
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 12:56 AM Yes, there is a very poor, separatistic region "pridnestrovye" that is occupied by russian military.
Kommandant Mark June 12th, 2005, 01:00 AM ^
And mostly Ukrainian populated;)
Pollux75 June 12th, 2005, 01:00 AM Part of its territory is foreign occupied...sounds troubled to me... :)
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 01:02 AM ^

See how russians follow us around the globe? :)
Kommandant Mark June 12th, 2005, 01:04 AM They protect you...like the big brothers they are;)

Hollandski_KGB June 12th, 2005, 02:03 AM Yes, there is a very poor, separatistic region "pridnestrovye" that is occupied by russian military.
don't talk bullshit like that, Moldova is not occupied ! and as you know half of moldovian population is russian.

Moldova is the poorset country in Europe !
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 02:07 AM Oh, did you ask them maybe?;)
I have a friend from Pridnestrovye and I've read quite a bunch of articles about the region. It's the poorest and most dangerous, crime filled region in Europe.
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 02:09 AM don't talk bullshit like that, Moldova is not occupied ! and as you know half of moldovian population is russian.
1.) Pridnestrovye, an eastern region of Moldova is currently occupied by Russian military.
- Few days ago, President Yuschenko submitted a plan for resolution of the conflict which includes withdrawal of Russian forces from the region and Moldovan parliament accepted it.
2.) Half of Moldovan population is not Russian.
ahsm June 12th, 2005, 05:42 AM don't talk bullshit like that, Moldova is not occupied ! and as you know half of moldovian population is russian.
From CIA World Factbook, 1989 est:
Moldovan/Romanian 64.5%, Ukrainian 13.8%, Russian 13%
Football Rules June 12th, 2005, 06:11 AM I knew a girl from Moldova once , she was russian.

i know that there are russian military in Moldova and that Moldova wants to withdrawal military from there just like Georgia did but it doesn't mean that it's occupied. The russian forces are there since Moldova was in the sovjet union and stayed there because Moldova didn't really had an army anymore after 1991. So this is not occupation !
thebackdoorman June 12th, 2005, 05:26 PM Whatever is happening, Chisinau doesn't seem like a happy city. It seems rigidly controlled.
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 06:58 PM i know that there are russian military in Moldova and that Moldova wants to withdrawal military from there just like Georgia did but it doesn't mean that it's occupied. The Russian forces are not in actual Moldova. They are OCCUPYING eastern part of it called "Pridnestrovye" they even have a puppet regime there, with a president SMIRNOFF. They print their own "roubles" too.
And don't say bullshit about not having them an army anymore after 1991. Because there was a large soviet military base in the south of Moldova. Actually for a country so tiny, they had too much military.
Perhaps your ignorance goes further and you are not aware of a war that was going on there in early 90's either. It was the separatism of the russian military controlled Pridnestrovye from Moldova.
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 07:47 PM

you are always trying to bash russians or russia while your ukraine isn't a damn thing better and you should show some respect to your eastern brothers
VelesHomais June 12th, 2005, 08:34 PM First of all, Moldova is generally to the west from central Ukraine :) it's not an eastern neighbour for us.
I just posted an article in Russian which described the situation pretty well. I assume you can read Russian. Though your last comment made no sense at all.
Because:
No part of Moldova is Russian territory. This is not even claimed by Russian president. Only by your Uncle.
I can summarize it for you once again, if you are interested and worried about the subject.
- Moldova became independent in 1991.
- About in 1992 the eastern part of it, called "Pridnestrovye" with capital of Tiraspil' was occupied by Russian forces, with the head of General Lebed'.
- There was a war between Moldova and "Pridnestrovye" for a few years.
- Moldova is the poorest country in Europe, yet Pridnestrovye is even poorer than "centrist" Moldova.
- Pridnestrovye is not recognized by any government in the world, not even by Russian government. It is kept in pseudo-military stance for over 10 years now.
- President of Ukraine has just proposed a plan which will involve foreign peacekeeping forces there and will help reintegrate Pridnestrovye into all of Moldova, on federal basis. The plan is three stages of 6 months. It involves withdrawal of Russian military from there.
- Russia declined today.
Hollandski_KGB June 12th, 2005, 09:05 PM First of all, Moldova is generally to the west from central Ukraine :) it's not an eastern neighbour for us.
i mean Russia not Moldova :) they are your eastern friends.
