I present you the village, Westwood Village that is. This neighborhood is home to UCLA, and not only caters to the students but many local residents as well. It was once the most popular hang out spot in LA perhaps outside Hollywood. Violence began to take its toll, and finally came to a head when an inocent by stander (tourist) was shot and killed back in the late 1980's. Since this incident the Village has never really regain its popularity. None the less its still a fairly vibrant area, and congestion seems to be 24/7. Its probably one of the worst areas in regards to gridlock in the city. They really need the subway (red line) to service this area NOW.

The area has remained a wealthy enclave multi million dollar residental highrises as well as corporate businesses as well.

Other parts caters to students in dense low rise apartments which you'll see in my tour. I left out the Wilshire corridor condos (highrises) since many of you probably seen them in other threads.

So enjoy the tour

Ahh Peets Coffee, Starbucks ain't got nothin on them. Chicago is so blessed to have one now up on North Avenue. It's mainly on the west coast, but they are expanding now.

Thanks

I've been around here, but I just haven't had much to say. Still I'm usually lurking at least once a day.
