You can see where the new arm will extend in this aerial pic - the area that is being preloaded with the dark gray material. It will be longer than the other wing (see the yellow arm in the floorplan in the bottom right corner of Mr X's pic).

^ holy crap is that huge......I see where that tower is gonna be built. and after this expansion, there isn't much room left for terminal expansion, is there?

Before i saw that aerial, I thought the terminal expansion would be on the east end of the terminal complex and that the aquarium would be in public space, not in the ticketed space.

The area to the east of the hotel is supposed to be for longer term terminal expansion.

isn't the area to the south of airport blvd also for long term expansion?... i know the cargo long term plan is for on the north side of the north runway, i thought they'd move everything up there (relating to non-passenger traffic)

Vancouver right now has one of the few airports that is truly easy to get around and thoughtout for the public. Its a great airport.

There will be a RAV station at the long term parking lot shown at the bottom of the aerial shot - that will eventually be the site of an additional passenger terminal.

Yes, there are airport related commercial buildings being built along the north side of the north runway. Not sure what the long term outlook is for those gven they want additional runways by 2044.
