I remembered about in 1998 or so, State government or someone that passed laws to banned red line extansion and including with MTA regular planned that wants from North Hollywood to Warner Center but MTA changed mind into light rail or busway. That's stupid laws though.
When does MTA can get red line extansion back? I thought it's will after 10 years or so. MTA have to planned for red line extansion from to Fairfax Ave. or more route by 2012.
LA need more subway sooo badly!!!!
Who's fault to banned the red line extansion? I thought it's state government or Bush (Houston is never get subway period).

my guess of the culprit would b the BHills riches... Don't think they'd want a subway line going thru their exclusive neighborhoods...

um.. then go around it. Don't say it like that. Geez.. atleast become rich and see what they've been through to become that rich before saying stuff in that tone again.

going around it would defeat the point because we want the line to go down wilshire.

Most of Wilshire's businesses are not in BH(except that Rodeo Dr. Area) so maybe it can stop at the border of BH

Is there a budget problem facing L.A.'s mass transit dept. I know here in Chicago, the city always threatens service cuts but somehow the money turns up.
A side note: I rode the subway (brand new and very nice) in Athens Greece when a tremor hit, I almost shit in my pants. The train stopped for 20 minutes and the lights turned off. I'm not so sure I would like to be in a subway where you have serious seismic activity.
