[Chosun, Dong-A, Yonhap News, Hankook, Seoul Economics] Technomart to be built in the old Kia Motors site in Shindorim station area.

A developing plan of a big multiplex commercial belt including business, commercial, and residential facilities is to be driven in full scale. This area had been the factory site of Kia Motors, Hankook Tire, Daesung Industries, etc., but it will change into a multiplex town with tall buildings around 2010.
Seoul city government announced on 6th that detail developing plan for the old Kid Motors site(30,852㎡) was officially notified. The construction for ‘Technomart’ in the total area of 86,186 pyeong with 7 basement floors and 26 floors on the ground equipped with commercial, sports and cultural facilities is beginning in first half of the year.
And the detail developing plan for Daesung Industries site(35,228㎡) near the Kia Motors site is going to be submitted to the city government on 7th. The plan of Guro-gu contains construction plan for Daesung multiplex tower with hotel, convention center, shopping, business, and residence in a 47 stories building. This plan is going to be fixed in the 2nd half of next year through screening committee for metro area improvement and Seoul city planning committee, etc.
All buildings that will be built in these 3 sites are connected to Shindorim station through underground passage, and green zone will be made along with Gyeongin-ro and Shindorim station. Guro-gu official said, “Everything including office, shopping, distribution, and accommodation is provided in one stop here and we expect that the commercial synergy effect will be maximized in all connected multiplex buildings.
