Trantanese is a language a writing system created by Albert Nguyen (albert.v.nguyen at gmail dot com) for use in a fictional country, Trantan. The letter shapes are based on parts of Chinese characters but they are arranged in syllable blocks in a similar way to Korean Hangul.

Very interesting.....Vietnamese Hangul :D now evrything that Albert has to do is just create a whole new country for his writing system.

Hehe yes, the country of Trantan sounds interesting :)

Anyway, I know the website said it's BASED on Vietnamese but does this writing system actually work with Vietnamese? In other words, can you use "Trantanese" to write Vietnamese?
