That fog shot (I took a few of them), I was just lucky because I was in no shape to take pictures as I had just returned from a big night out in The Valley. I took them just before I went to sleep - for an hour or so...

Fantastic man, I have been waiting for some good street pictures in brissy and gees albert st is going off, so many people about. Is it always that busy?

And that new queens square is looking good. Theres actually quite alot of path space going down that street beside it so they have done well..

lol @ you only getting 1 hour sleep after a big night out. I know when i goto the valley from time to time, i come back around the same time in the morning and will end up sleeping the entire day and wake up when its dark :P

Valley = fully sick, i love that place. The clubs up this way are just shit house. How can one go to a place and hear pre recorded mix's that are crap anyhow. They just don't take it seriously at all...

Awesome pics Jayt...captured alot of the street scene well, especially in the up and coming Albert. St area.

Oh, and just for future reference, it's Queens Plaza...not square :)

@ Grantus, the queens plaza shot which is sewn together looks great.
I only got one hour sleep because I went to a recovery party later on which went till 1pm.

JayT you lucky bugger, I use to live in that place across the road with the red roofs and miss that view of the city!!

Great shots there JayT. Those fog shots sort of make you imagine what it'll look like when Aurora's finished. Do you notice the twins in the brown jacket in that stitched photos by Grantus. lol.

Elizabeth st looks like its got heaps of room for some towers to be erected there with those older low rise buildings. Does this look like its gunna happen? because i know there's some places in the center of the cbd that wont see that...

Well, eventually. It's a great street and one of the few areas with room for high rise left. Of course, there is alot of restrictions on the area for different reasons and land is expensive, plus the churches and other historical buildings on the street limits development a little.

But the new mid-rise development going up on the corner of Albert and Elizabeth (old QSM cinemas, next to T&G) and I heard somewhere that someoen has proposed to buy (or has bought) the building across the road from Myer Centre Sizzler (on Elizabeth) and build a mid rise office tower.

What happened to River City! Photos I've seen always had blue not brown. Yuck. River Park Central and Metropole (???) don't look too good either, but I guess they can't all be stunners.

Don't worry, it is blue...most probably when photoshopping the colour was changed.

Oriolus, the one of the right is the Sebel. I actually think River Park Central turned out quite good.

After being overseas for a few years, one of the first things I said on arriving back in Brisbane was, "who is this Bendigo bank that are everywhere?". There are a lot of them about.

Nice to see the Irish Club in that picture as well, great place.

They are the country bank - they have a big building in Ipswich which is their Queensland HQ. The building there is bigger than that Brisbane one. They have a call centre in Ipswich I think.
