Built during the Byzantine period (408-450) to defend Porta Aurea (Golden Gate, the largest among 55 gates of Constantinople and the city's ceremonial entrance used by the emperors) Yedikule Castle was enlarged in 1458 by the Ottoman emperor Mehmed II "The Conqueror". The castle is famous for its dungeons.

In Athens the "Rockwave" festival is also in progress in location outside the city ) something like "Woodstock" style... We had the Iron Maiden performing there a few days ago...

But the Manowar in Yedikule ... Sounds like Donnington Castle style concert to me.

...and I suspect that Moby is scheduled for Athens and Istanbul this summer. :)

Nice building - but Manowar is properly the worst band that has ever walked this earth ..

Manowar was my first love in metal, years ago

If you don't have enough testosterone, you'll never understand Manowar.
