This Main Square of Salamanca (Spain) was constructed just 250 years ago. It was developed by the Conde de Francos and designed by Alberto de Churrigera (an important spanish barroque architect).

Of course it's a 10! It's flawless! However, I'm so fond of Madrid's main square... that its great equivalent in Salamanca can almost hurt my feelings.

Definitely one of the most beautiful squares and towns in Europe!!! To me Salamanca was probably one of the best discoveries when I went to visit this gorgeous city last year… I just loved it! The old town is so well preserved and it seems that much care was taken when building the new area of the city which seems to melt with old yellowish buildings.

I'm not a huge fan of this square actually, its monumental, for sure, but it looks monotonous as well, which is a disadvantage. 6.5

I feel much, will not return to go. I'm sorry I made you angry, really that I feel it. Im dismayed, sorry.

le falla un poco ver la fecha en las fotos, pero como aquí lo que se vota es la arquitectura y la belleza de la plaza... 10/10 yo no he estado en ninguno tan bonita.

Madrid's main square (Plaza Mayor) is 400 years old (completed in 1619, I believe). It is therefore a different period and style, and should be rated as a 10.

Salamanca's main square, and the city as a whole, is no doubt also a 10.
