I think so, I saw its picture on the newspaper and it was about the opening ceremony for that flyover.

I saw this u/c when i went to Bandung last May. I love cable stayed bridges. So does this bridge just go over city roads or something? Coz i dont remember seeing a river it crosses. Did they build it to act as a mini-elevated expressway?

I think it looks awesome btw. I didnt expect to see a cable stayed bridge in Bandung.

Its main purpose is not for river crossing. But to connect two bandung main road together. It cut through a valley, I think.

imagine if all the flyovers in Jakarta has some sort of decorative lights underneath it..
it would look awesome at night..

Not that i dont like the bridge, but i dont understand why they had to make it a cable stayed bridge. There is ground below, so a simple flyover bridge design would have been good enough. Cable Stayed bridges are for long spans to cross areas where support pylons cant or shouldnt be built.

maybe because the ground underneath the bridge is a large road or some soft soil where erecting a concrete there is not so feasible. Not so sure why...

Dago in east part .... connected to Pasteur in west part.

but I don't know the decision to use cable-stayed though .... one of the students from ITB studied this and build it. ( Read in one blog somewhere )

konstruksinya udah beres dari jaman baheula. sekarang sih paling cuma penataan kolong jembatan aja sih, dikasih taman2 gt. terus ada wacana menjadikan Pasupati ini sebagai jalan Tol :ohno:

waktu ni jembatan masih U/C saya masih sekolah, boro2 kenal SSC :D. itu foto yang saya foto lagi. di foto ga ada keterangan waktu di ambilnya tu foto, cuma ada judul tema.

iya, ga nyangka si kabel2nya itu ternyata sebelumnya pada letoy, padahal kalo diperhatikan sekarang tu kabel seperti terbuat dari bahan yang sebelumnya memang udah kokoh.

^^ hehe ini hanya intermezo aja sih, sekedar share foto2 dulu pas U/C.

Untuk fisik utamanya sih udah completed.. tapi rencananya Pasupati FO ini (sebagai jalan layang non tol) akan dijadikan jalan tol sebagai bagian jalan tol Bandung Intra Urban Toll Road (BIUTR)

Rencana laen yang cukup santer terdengar yaitu penataan total kolong Pasupati menjadi public area yang mampu mewadahi aktifitas masyarakat. termasuk membangun taman-taman di kolong Pasupati ini.. sekarang sih udah ada penataan, cuma masih sedikit..

haha.. bener2 neh thread update-annya bikin bingung orang yang gak tau saja.:D
