Agreed "WOW" is the word. It has character unlike a lot of NA and Pac-Rim waterfront skylines that are all modernistic buildings and, very predictable, Liverpool waterfront is interesting in the diversity of it's architecture.

 Scouserdave, Looks even better with clouds in the background.

Isn't that strange that you have St Johns Tower, but i don't, and i have the Anglican Cathedral and you don't in those pictures, even though the angle looks similar.

Hey, why don't one of you guys submit one of those superb pics to be our banner for the day? It was great having a banner up ages ago- I'm sick of having to look at inferior skylines :)

Goth, whats the criteria for submitting bannners, and who decides on the quality control and country that's shown? Reason I ask is that the Philippines has had three different banners within a week and every one of them has had typo errors. One of the Filipino guys has PM'd Jan about this.

I liked some of the Indian ones recently. One was of an island, I cant remember the other one but just made another "must go to India before I am dead" note. I agree that some are nasty though. I wonder if some people hate where they live, and like to smear horrid images of it globally as a way of punishing their own city/town for all its planning and architectural mistakes?

That would be the Lakshadweep Islands off SW India Poli. Very idyllic looking place, but I reckon I'd prefer the nitty gritty India. Was hoping to go to Chennai this summer but it looks unlikely unfortunately.

BTW stunnning panos,, thanks v much! A visual delight:D
