Whistler is beautiful!

I just put an offer on a townhouse in Whister :D.

I love golfing Chateau and it looks cool up on the mountainside.

Whistler is so expensive now, that condo must be costing a fortune but you will make a killing if you sell it especialy after 2010. If I was going to invest in property it would be in Squamish.

Thanks for the tour Sounder.

^Squamish? Why?

Too far to commute to Vancouver and you might aswell be in Whister.

Yes, the prices are outrageous! 2 floor townhouse = 1.5 million +

^ Squmish is relitivly cheap and lies half way between Whistler and Vancouver. The cost of real estate in Squmish is fairly low but it is projected to greatly increase in value with in the next few years. Its closer to downtown then Abbotsford and is a much nicer location. A 3 floor townhouse in Squmish would cost you about $275,000.

^Hmmmmm... sounds nice, but I'm looking for a nice second home, not an investment...

how long of a commute is it from squamish to downtown vancouver now? Even though i'm up the valley my neighbour commutes to SFU and i've heard of people as far away as chilliwack commuting to downtown...

The bobsled/luge track is going above parking lot #8 on Blackcomb (sea map above). The ski jump & nordic facility is being built SW of town in the Callaghan Valley.
