Very nice. It's a HUGE model! I visited it three times in '96, '98, and 2000.
Just an FYI: if you want to videotape at this site, you will have to pay NIS 20 for the privilege.
source26 July 1st, 2005, 09:34 PM hmm, I think I have better things to do with 20 NIS - three pizza slices,
two falafels or 1 shawarma :)

source26 July 2nd, 2005, 12:33 AM If you go to Jerusalem municipality theres a HUMONGOUS GIGANTUOUS model
of the entire city with future towers and construction planned - yep, the ENTIRE
center of Jerusalem in one huge model. Never seen any model bigger, and its worth
a trip in itself. It took I think 4 years to build. I may have pictures of it I can put here soon!

Shortly the second temple was the Jewish religious center and it was named second because the first which was built by king shlomo was destroyed in the 6th century bc(586) by Babylon.
The second one was destroyed by roman legions (70ad) during a Jewish rebellion. The legion was under the command of Titus (later become and emperor).

Monkey July 6th, 2005, 12:33 AM call him pay him money he will come:)
source26 July 6th, 2005, 12:54 AM As some israeli comedian said recently:
When the messiah comes to jerusalem, he'll buy a flat in tel aviv.
everythingisone July 6th, 2005, 04:37 AM call him pay him money he will come:)
nah
source26 July 7th, 2005, 05:06 AM By the way it costs 5 NIS to view the jerusalem model in the city hall.
It was started in 1978 by Technion architecture students and has
been changed and added to over 10 times until today, lately updated
with future highrises and city-center approved plans (over 40 buildings)
