Oldham is not a suburb of Manchester. Oldham has it's own suburbs called Grotton, Garden Suburb, Lydgate etc. Stop poncing off us you thieving Manc twats, stick with your own burbs inside your massive 390,000 people metropolis.

Oldham is a satellite township of Manchester with with some of its own suburbs yes, but it is a part of the 2.5 million metro area.

Old Trafford always seems like a strange place to me. I was there last week, and you'd think that the powers that be at Trafford MBC care about Altrincham, Timperley, Urmston and Sale, but couldn't give a developmental flying fuck about the northern (Manchester) reaches of their borough. The area around Trafford Bar station is getting more run down and depressing by the day.

You'd also think that Trafford MBC would stump up some cash to make Old Trafford station area more attractive, for all the LCCC visitors to their borough.

Wahey! Today I did. Went upto the top of the 15 storey Oakhill Court in Broughton Park. Could only see half of town though because the windows in the stairs didn't open very far. Great views over Salford, the Quays, Trafford and Cheetham Hill though. I'll get the photos up when I get my pc fixed, ie. bloody ages.

How would I adjust the contrast, lighting, rotate by a couple of degrees(or as little as a 10th of a degree), add a watermark adequately in paint? Paint also does a horrid job of resizing!

Try the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program, nothing to do with leather-clad sex slaves, or at least I don't think so) at www.gimp.org (http://www.gimp.org). Go to the GIMP for Windows link under the "Binaries" section and follow the links. You'll need to download and install GTK+ 2 before the actual Gimp for Windows installer. It's worth it though. It's one of the finest examples of open source software around and the number of plug-ins available from various sources on the internet is staggering.

caw123

I've tried that, it's just not right. It only lets you rotate images by either 90 or 180 degrees - useless!

Errr...NAY, LAD!!

Click on Tools -> Transform Tools -> Rotate. Rotation to a resolution of 0.01 of a degree.

Trust me. It's a fantastic program.

Not sure. Probably.

Actually, I found this ... http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Basic_Batch/

It looks like you'd have to learn a bit of the GIMP's scripting language (Script Fu) before attempting it though. A bit geeky.

Can't be arsed faffing around with the gimp. Went back on my word and downloaded photoshop off Limewire. Once again I felt a tad guilty when it said ''Thank you for choosing Adobe Photoshop''. Then again, who the fuck can fork out £200 for it?

I've got a backlog of 150 photos to edit, so they'll be a slow trickle for a few days.

Here's the beauty of Higher Brougton and the crime-free Mandley Park.
