Too bad I am busy. Kolonaki is the equivalent of Via Venetto in Rome, or the Nisantasi in Istanbul. Very chic area, with almost everything that's available fashionwise to be accessible there. A downtown area where you see blocks of flats with swimming pools on top and very classy people in the streets. I am sure that Leafs could find some 546384556 pictures if he reads this :):).

Είναι σαφώς πολύ υπερτιμημένη περιοχή... "over-rated"
Τσιμεντένιες πολυκατοικίες της δεκαετίας του 60 και του 70 , στενά δρομάκια ( σε υπερβολικό βαθμό ) , ανύπαρκτο πράσινο (αν βγάλουμε έξω το λιγοστό πράσινο της δεξαμενής/πρόποδες λυκαββητού ) , ανύπαρκτοι χώροι στάθμευσης, απελπιστικά μικρά πεζοδρόμια , και ελάχιστοι πεζόδρομοι (κάτι σκάλες και 1-2 πεζοδρομημένα δρομάκια )
Προς τι λοιπόν όλος αυτός ο θόρυβος για το κολωνάκι?
Για 5-10 μπαράκια και καφετέριες? Η για κάτι υπόγεια/πολυκατοικίες που γράφουν απέξω το όνομα "μιας μεγάλης φίρμας ρούχων" ?

Τώρα βρε γεροπλάτανε, δεν καταλαβαίνεις, διαφήμιση κάνω. Τι να του πω, η αλήθεια είναι ότι δεν πάω και συχνά εκεί πέρα. Έχει μερικά καλούτσικα σημεία, αλλά γενικά δεν τους πάω τόσο τους νεοπλουτους. Ο Λυκαβηττός όμως μου αρέσει για να λέμε και του στραβού το0 δίκιο. Για να είμαι ειλικρινής, η Ηρώδου Αττικού ΕΙΝΑΙ Ευρώπη, αλλά δεν έχει μαγαζιά βλέπεις...

It's too hard!!The only thing I understand is "odos"or "vassillis"!!Or the name of some churches:"agios Nikolaos","agios georgeos",and some typical foods like gyros pita,souvlaki and moussaka,nothin' more,sorry!!

Now, we were just talking about which area of Kolonaki is the best. Guys, too bad, no pics for the moment and I sure would appreciate if somebody posted anything with the central Kolonaki square, or the slopes of Lycabettus or something.

Giorgos,thank you so much!I've noticed that it's fantastic to see the sunrise at the top of the Lycabettus hill!Kolonaki is surely a must see in Athens,but when I visited this city two years ago I lost the oppurtunity!
