I agree, we must ratify Kyoto Protocol asap I, myself had already signed the petition. hopefully it will be done soon

Anyhow, as corruption here is rampant, I am sure even if Israel
states it will go by the Kyoto agreement, most companies will continue
to pollute. we have a system of "pollution permits". Basically its all secretive,
closed to the press and to public scrutiny - and means companies can
pollute with a license. Most beaches in Israel have been closed at some point
because of pollution. Some - in Acco, Rishon LeZion, are so polluted people are often warned not to enter on specific days, sometimes weeks!!
