Guilin is famous for its beautiful natural landscape. Guilin city is not so beautiful. A lot of buildings are ugly, but things are changing.

Yes, it is.

Wow! Amazing looking city! At first I thought if I were to see this city at street level it would not be much or too impressive, the natural surroundings is beautiful. I like the large rocks and trees. While scrolling down I finally saw the street level and wow, very nice also. I really like the cities of China, very impressive. I like the vibrance of the lakefront too and the building with the waterfall. :applause: TY

Guilin should build more traditional buildings

Such spectacular view of the hills!!!!!! Anyway, Guilin must not build any skyscrapers coz they will just destroy the beautiful natural settings... I love the view of Guilin this way... The street level looks very fine to me, I would love to see the nature in Guilin than any modern skyscrapers if I were to visit the city.

I think the city already has height limit.

I don't agree that the city is ugly, I think the city looks nice, especially this pedestrian street. Is there no highrises in the city and is this because of a height limit?

I wonder how the waterfall looks from the windows of the hotel room and if it is possible to open a window...:)
