Imperfect Ending July 3rd, 2005, 11:28 AM DTLA is interesting because you can either see it shaped like a perfect triangular skyline or a perfect ceater with something large in the middle skyline
borth recognizable
VansTripp July 5th, 2005, 06:47 AM I want ride on paddle boat in MacArthur Park
Imperfect Ending July 5th, 2005, 09:40 AM its only Echo Park
MacArthur is pretty weird so they closed it down
VansTripp July 5th, 2005, 05:33 PM its only Echo Park
MacArthur is pretty weird so they closed it down
for sure?
Louman July 5th, 2005, 08:44 PM It's really Echo Park. If it was MacArthur Park, the view of DTLA would be similar to the view you get from Hollywood, only this time at ground level and much, much closer.
Imperfect Ending July 6th, 2005, 12:59 AM And lots of homelesses

Yeah, You're right. :)
MacArthur Park and Echo Park is little same as park and lake but not including with paddle boat.

alex3000 September 25th, 2005, 11:57 PM Los Angeles skyline is pretty nice IMO. The architecture of the buildings is pretty nice too. The really really bad thing about DTLA is all the homeless people and the problems that come with them ( drugs, trash, etc...) :( Oh well...
Let me post some of my never-seen DTLA pics...

alex3000 September 26th, 2005, 07:53 AM Hey Alex where'd you take the pics that say 3rd St. and Ped Crossing? It looks just like NY!!!
Actually, it is NYC... buahahahaha.
Anyway, I don't what pic you're talking about... :? Are you talking about the 2nd or 3rd pic...??? :?

3rd and 4th.
alex3000 September 26th, 2005, 08:06 AM 3rd and 4th.
That's Broadway Avenue.
CarsonCaliBrotha September 26th, 2005, 02:45 PM That's Broadway Avenue.
Nah, just plain Broadway. I wonder why it's always just called Broadway, not Broadway Ave. or anything. But I'ma go down there.

I actually don't like the "perfect triangular" look. It makes DTLA look smallish. I prefer the elongated perspective, esp. when you're driving southeast on the 101 and DTLA is on your right-hand side. There is a moment when DTLA looks so TALL and Majestic! Kinda like this:
:)

Because the "way" part describes the street. Kinda like Brighton Way or something. :P

Then why didn't they just name it Broad Way?
LosAngelesBeauty October 5th, 2005, 08:01 AM I guess they thought it would be ok to just make it into one word. Cuz that's what happened right? lol
RBR October 5th, 2005, 10:56 AM Skyline Terrace has some nice views of downtown.

Skyline needs a 21st century look, its a shame thats it's been this long for people to build new buildings and fix up this city.
Jose Luis October 7th, 2005, 01:20 AM I cant find good pictures of La's skyline, the ones posted are plain crap and searching in google im only getting small and rubish pics. what the hell.
Facial October 7th, 2005, 01:45 AM Great pics.

Is that the Hollywood-Highland mall? I'm going to Hollywood next month and need somewhere to do all my shopping!
14k October 11th, 2005, 04:46 PM Is that the Hollywood-Highland mall? I'm going to Hollywood next month and need somewhere to do all my shopping!
Yes that's the place.
For shopping I really do not recommend Hollywood. Try Beverly Center or even better downtown Los Angeles. All those districs offer twice as much as malls, half of the price.
RBR October 12th, 2005, 05:24 AM Santa Monica is even better for shopping, 3rd street prom and santa monica place mall.
