No sabía que "The Shops at La Cantera" fuera un desarrollo de Gicsa pero coincido contigo, ese será por mucho el mejor de todos, ya he visto los renders y es espactacular. Lástima que sea en el extranjero.

el centro comercial "LAS CANTERAS" en San Antonio, se esta construyendo en sociedad con el grupo constructor mas importante de centros comerciales de los estados unidos , el grupo "GGP" (General Growth Properties), este grupo ya tiene intenciones de hacer algo en Mexico, se habla de un mega centro comercial en la CD. DE MEXICO, cerca de la zona de Santa fe, ademas de participar en tres de los proyectos de GICSA, "PASEO MORELIA", "LA ISLA ACAPULCO" Y LA SEGUNDA ETAPA DE "LA ISLA CANCUN" donde se contara con el segundo LIVERPOOL DE CANCUN.......

No sabía que "The Shops at La Cantera" fuera un desarrollo de Gicsa pero coincido contigo, ese será por mucho el mejor de todos, ya he visto los renders y es espactacular. Lástima que sea en el extranjero.

A leading Florida real estate developer is teaming with the U.S. arm of one of Mexico's largest commercial developers to create a shopping center on 100 acres at one of San Antonio's busiest highway intersections.

The 1-million-square-foot Regal Hills shopping center is planned for the southeast corner of Interstate 10 at Loop 1604 on the far Northwest Side. Construction is scheduled to begin early next year, with a fall 2006 opening expected.

"We targeted this area largely because of the tremendous population growth of the I-10 and Loop 1604 corridors in the past few years; it's just a great intersection," said Drew M. Barkett, a vice president at Turnberry Associates, an Aventura, Fla. developer of upscale shopping centers, condominiums and offices.

The shopping center will be built on a 100-acre site that is part of 400 undeveloped acres owned by Galleria Associates of Mexico City.

Turnberry's partner in Regal Hills is CABI Developers, the U.S. subsidiary of Mexico City-based GISCA, or Grupo Inmobiliario Cababie.

Barkett said he has verbal commitments from potential tenants and expects to have letters of intent from them by early January.

He described Regal Hills as a power center, with mostly so-called category killers ? including electronics stores, bookstores, sporting goods stores, a furniture store and several department stores.

He declined to name the tenants or estimate how many people they'd employ. But a smaller planned development in Southeast San Antonio, the 570,000-square-foot City Base Landing, is expected to have around 1,000 workers.

Several of the national retailers Turnberry is negotiating with would be new to the San Antonio market, said Jim Gdula, Turnberry's retail development director.

Turnberry Associates has developed more than $5 billion in commercial and residential real estate, including around 20 million square feet of retail development.

It built Aventura Mall in South Florida and Monroeville Mall and South Hills Mall in Pittsburgh, as well as Destin Commons in Destin, Fla.

Turnberry also is building Town Square, a 1.2-million-square-foot super regional lifestyle center on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip.

In South Florida, CABI is building two high-rise residential communities: Everglades on the Bay in downtown Miami and The Parc at Turnberry Isle in Aventura, Fla.

GICSA's Mexican developments include Maralago Acapulco; Puerta del Sol in Cabo San Lucas; Cancun's Forum By the Sea, La Isla and Maralago Cancun; and Esmeralda III, Punta Santa Fe, Residencial Lomas II and Torre Picasso in Mexico City.

Regal Hills is the latest in a series of major new retail developments planned for the San Antonio area. Besides it and City-Base Landing, there's the new Park North center planned for the old Central Park mall site, as well as the North Rim and Shops at La Cantera projects near the Regal Hills development.

Hace unos días conocí The Shops at la Cantera y si bien no me pareció demasiado grande si tiene buen tamaño, sobre todo comparado con el Northstar Mall. Eso si, The Shops at la Cantera es espectacular, se ve que cuidaron hasta el último detalle.

faltan tiendas como louis V. y Versace entre otras, sin emabargo casi todas son excelentes

¿Siempre si van a seguir con la construcción de estos? Como supe por este medio que se había suspendido la construcción de ellos, excepto de 2.

El Galerias Tabasco es relativamente pequeño en comparación de los centros comerciales como los FORUM y plaza Las Americas se ve muy charra, osea les hace falta algo como Galerias Valle Oriente (Mty.), Plaza Las Americas (Veracruz Puerto), Plaza las Americas (Xalapa, Ver.), Angelopolis, etc...

Hasta Campeche que es una ciudad mediana ya tendrá una plaza de Inmensas Magnitudes con 200 locales comerciales y dos tiendas ancla.

Se llamará Paseo Campeche (como Paseo Morelia), según información del Diario de Yucatán que cita a funcionarios de Desarrollo Económico de Gobierno del Estado de Campeche, de acuerdo con tal información Gicsa será el desarrollador del proyecto.
