Anybody any idea what is goin on with this??
I spoke to 2 office workers on their break from lee house, and they didnt know what I was on about when I asked them if they knew anything about the planned additions of storeys.
Is this extension still going ahead?
Grateful for any info

This planning application recently went in from Lee House, so i assume work's still gonna go ahead.
"Lee House Great Bridgewater Street City LISTED BUILDING CONSENT Provision of new fully accessible entrance, new glazed/aluminium roller shutter to car park ramp and loading bay area, new canopy above existing entrance with new suspended building name sign and internal works to reconfigure ground floor reception area."

ok, thanks KITR; that application doesnt mention the addition of any extras stories though :S.
Just thought it was strange that the people working in the place havent heard about the plans

Yes but the application shows that they are still planning on doing things to the building. What i mean is, is that the 'Provision of new fully accessible entrance' could be the start of the renovation. They already have permission to add the floors on.
It is a bit strange that the workers havn't heard about the plans though, perhaps they're new. :D

I know, particularly confusing because making a thread on Skyscraper City is usually signals the official start of construction :s

A thread is normally started when there is some rumour, or visuals knocking around. This thread is for projects under construction:

Clearly my sarcasm muscles have atrophied from under use. It's a sad day.

no, I suspect that in all the server migrations of the last year, some dogsbody has raised the irony filter onto the highest setting.
I have noticed it with my own posts in recent months too.
