How do people get to the beach from the city? Is there a tunnel under this freeway? For some reason I always wonder that.

There are a ton of pedestrian tunnels below Lake Shore Drive, as well as pedestrian bridges above it. :) My wife and I live downtown, and there are three beaches within one mile of our highrise. We know those pedestrian tunnels well!

That angle from the JH is the most common pic of Chicago's beaches, but it really only shows *one* out of *dozens* along the Chicago shore line... and that beach is actually one of the smallest. From up high, it looks like Lake Shore Drive is right on top of the beaches, but the beach is actually quite secluded, especially the further North and South you go.

It's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
