View Full Version : Photo-travel through the BASQUE COASTLINE

This is a photo-travel through the basque coastline. Following the basque railway line we are going to start the travel at Deba (province of Gipuzkoa) and finish it at the french Basque Country, at the city of Hendaye (province of Lapurdi).

The cities we are going to visit are:

· DEBA.
· ZUMAIA.
· ZARAUTZ.
· DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIÁN (capital city of the province of Gipuzkoa)
· HENDAYE.

THERE ARE 130 PHOTOS, SO MAYBE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO DOWNLOAD AT THE FIRST TIME. RELOAD THIS PAGE IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM WITH THE PHOTOS.

Now that's deep in Basque Country! Wow impressive thread of parts of the Spanish and French Basque Country...one can see that certain Basque qualities cross politcal borders. It is my understanding, however, that generally speaking, the Spanish Basque Country is among Spain's wealthy and prosperous/industrial regions while the French one is among France's least prosperous, more provincial/agricultural regions.
