One of the really small office proposals in downtown Calgary.
Here is the rendering - The address is 6th ave and 3rd street: the former site of the YMCA. I really like the different tones of curtain glass.

That looks really good. How tall is it going to be?

There should be a Calgary Construction thread. It'll be exciting to follow.

Not bad at all. What happened to Barclay Place? Is this by the same developer?
Here is a good article...

Barclay Place never made it past the early proposal stages - developers felt that with the huge office demand - that location would be better used as an office site since it is so central in the downtown core. THe Barclay Place proposal was quite ugly as I recall. This is a much better design.

Yeah--if I recall, I saw only a drawing of Barclay Place, and it was not so hot, only the height of the tower was redeeming for the area! Calgary is on a role...
Josh, we lived in McKenzie Towne, and Service Plus Inns of Red Deer was supposed to build a hotel/casino nearby...have you heard anything new about that?

I live in McKenzie lake and they are bulilding a hotel/casino on the corner of 114 and barlow. It is almost done I think or it looks to be and its called the Deerfoot Inn and casino.

Thanks! Found a pic...not too bad from what I see--certainly not as ugly as Greenwood Inns, etc.

Looks good, however if there are alot smaller office buildings created in Calgary wont it hinder its chances for a 70 story office tower?
