Its a shame, the day after such excitiement and celebration, twats who believe in f*cking exerything up and destroying peoples lives come along an ruin everything.

as of yet, with upto 6 bombs having been detonated, this looks to be Britains worst ever terrorist attack. Some say it was inevitible but im sure i can speak for a majority of brummies in saying that we're all thinking of you!

Bastards.
I hope the wounded are not too traumatised and my thoughts go out to the murdered families.

Worked in Russell Sq for 13 years. Met my missus there when she started her nursing career in Gt Ormond St. Used to meet up for a kiss/cuddle in Russell Sq park. Happy memories. Not anymore.

It must be so confusing to have such happy memories of yesterday, and now this tragedy happens....

Mayor Livingston summed it up for me: he highlighted that the terrorists chose not to target the world leaders gathered at the G8 summit but instead working class Londoners, going about their ordinary lives.
Quite what they hoped to achieve by doing that I don't know, I doubt if they know either. Either way, it ain't working.

getting home after walking back from the Strand I hear that it was the 2nd carriage on the westbound piccadilly line that was blown up. That is the one I catch every morning, fortunately my work starts at 8.30 so missed it but my thoughts and sympathies go out everbody caught up in this atrocity.

After reading Lyonsdown's comment I hope that none of the London forumers were caught up in this or know of family or friends that were. There's been no figures released yet for the number of casulties on the bus but I'm sure it will push the death toll much higher :(

I live about 500 yards fromLiverpool st. Its been mayhem. My partner was on his way to the Royal London hospital and his journey took him past Aldgate East Station.I could only get his voicemail for an hour, I have to admit I was a mess with crying and worry.

We all knew somthing was going to happen one day and today was that day. It still comes as a terrible shock. Its frighting to think that there is so much evil in the world.

Yes, Russel Sq is my favourite square in London. Its so peaceful, and full of wildlife, particularly the pigeons and squirrels. I remember going to Great Ormond Street for a appointment and having a great sandwich for lunch at a small cafe right next to the station.

Lunched in that cafe/snackbar for many years when I lived in London. I can see it now as I walk in. Counter on the left, main dining area down a couple of steps to the rear.

Yes, quite ironic.

But I think the saddest part of it all is that attacks like these will almost never stop. It is impossible to wage war against terrorists because they are always hiding, and there will always be more.

My thoughts are with you, London. And I hope everyone is safe and that this would not interfere with any of the Olympic plans.

We all stand together and nothing will overthrow us - London is an amazing, strong city that has come through the blitz, the IRA and now this, whomever trying their hardest to break the spirit, but failing miserably. Can anyone tell me which other global city can host a Live8 gig, win the Olympics bid and come through indiscriminate terrorism in 1 week? No I can't either. We salute you London.
