Gherkin July 9th, 2005, 05:39 PM From a design point of view, the turning torso is the most advanced of these buildings. But that doesn't make it appealing to look at really. It attracts too much attention and isn't built in the right place

Not really, there are about 40 highrises in Malmö, and the second tallest is 82 m tall with 27 floors. It was the tallest for 40 years until TT was built

gothicform July 20th, 2005, 06:56 AM im quite disappointed actually with the realisation of turning torso. it looked amazing originally and it feels slightly value engineered when looking at it and the detailing is lacking. the two frankfurt entries are good but not brilliant, same with the millenium tower in vienna. i do like torre aghbar but its maybe a little squat but the detailing on it is incredible. swiss re is just iconic. you need to see this building close up to really appreciate it. walk round it looking up... that conveys its true sense in how it just vanishes into nothing.
