Wingham Photo Tour

Here is the small town of Wingham, Ontario, north of London on Highway 4, between Clinton and Walkerton. With a population of over 3,000 and located in Northern Central Huron County. Wingham is another farming community, probably best known as the home of the CKNX radio and television stations (The New NX, soon to be A-Channel Wingham) founded in the 1960s, making it one of the smallest towns in Canada to possess media stations for both radio and television. Wingham's downtown is one very nice and large one for a town of its size. It is at least 1 km long. It's long too, and has a fine collection of buildings. BTW, the name WINGHAM, sounds very appetizing to me. "Hi, I like to order a WING-ed HAM if you please, or HAM with WINGs, please.", lol.

Thanks for the pics.
Wingham is one of the few smaller towns in southern Ontario I have never been to. Pretty impressive for such a small town, the downtown looks healthy, clean, and with atrractive buildings. Surprised, pleasantly surprised.

Always wondered about this place since you hear about it because of the tv station. I wonder what that first building is.

I'm not really sure what the first building is, Blitz, however, by the looks of it, I might be a former hotel or something, I'll have to research. :)
