They are planning to get Niaz Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad and also Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pindi...There are also plans to upgrade Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar...infact the ICC insisted...

PCB has a lot of money...it's been making good money for the past 3 years...

And especially if the next finals are in Pak.
That should bring in some serious money. Good for PCB, aside from the fixing scams, they seem to be doing quiet well.

Definately, the ICC should be credited for eliminating match-fixing from the game of cricket.

Pakboy... i disagree with you, atleast we should appreciate the development.. if not international matches this stadium is going to benefit the local cricket clubs for their matches as all the small teams feel left behind cause they dont have any good stadium of international standard......and 5 star hotels will come in future if the demand is there.... so be optimistic not pessimistic...

hope most of u will agree with me.....

Could'nt agree more, PCB has the funds and it can build thses stadiums, players don't just come from the major cities, they come from al over Pakistan, this is good for Pakistani cricket.

That ground can be great for domestic cricket tournaments.

Quetta has a five star hotel then why PCB is not renovating stadium there.

I think the PCB is being really smart by building a real sporting infrastructure in Pakistan. As the popularity of cricket grows around the world, there will be more opponents to face. So this is an investment in future Pakistani talent. IMO a good move.

Mushtaq Ahmed (Leg-Spinner) was from Sahiwal, I think... has been doing great in County Cricket aswell! We definitely need such sports facilities in smaller cities aswell.

When English words are written in urdu, they're pronounced weird. Like the word Minute, corporation, School etc are spoken/written as Mint, Carporation, Iskool. Quite annoying.

The stadium looks nice for a small city.. I just hope they don't make the seats too far from the edge of the boundary.. the stadium in Multan built in 2003 is very nice but the first row is wayyy too far from the boundary and the fans don't feel attached to the game nor can the players really feel their support.
