Not very factual, but at least it's slightly funny. But how seriously can you take an organization that tries to pretend it's got the inside tips on what's cool, when they call themselve's "Vibe"? Cringe.

Markham is almost 100% Chinese. After graduating computer science with perfect grades, students flock to high tech employment in Markham because if you have absolutely no social skills you won’t notice that you are working and living in a completely barren hell-hole.






The Green Room (296 Brunswick Ave., but not really) Some say it’s the Korean Mafia, some say it’s the Vietnamese Mafia, we say who cares as long as it’s a good time. What does concern us is the rumour that they defrost chickens on the kitchen floor. On second thought, fuck it! Cheap eats, good times, opium!





Sweaty Betty’s (13 Ossington St.) A little hole-in-the-wall that serves imported absinthe, sake martinis, and Cheez Whiz on toast. Get falling-down drunk and then wander over to a Vietnamese “karaoke bar” and puke on one of their couches. That goes over really well. They love that.

Ahaha, what a crazy magazine, my friend's buy it. Have you been to the Vice-like store on Queen West? It's pretty cool but I wouldn't imagine buying anything there.

ha! priceless. Sounds a lot like Granville St. Replace 905'ers with people from Surrey.

They forgot to mention the incredibly slow service at Green Room.

Great atmosphere though.

Ah ha...so they are the ones who nabbed that spot that had been for rent for a while. They aren't open yet...paper still covering the big windows. Great space in a great building....in a fast gentrifying stretch of Parkdale's "Queen Far West".
