Hello Britain! :)

I've decided to share some photographs from the Miss Kresevo, Kiseljak, and Fojnica Pageant - held this week. Kresevo, Kiseljak, and Fojnica are three towns that are very closely linked - geographically, economically, culturally, etc. - in my country. Girls from all three towns compete in this pageant, the winner goes on to the Miss Bosnia pageant.

Let me know what you think. Some village traditions in Bosnia can be really foriegn to Western Europeans, and even urban Bosnians. So I'm curious what you think of when you see this pageant.

Last year's winner was Catholic, so this year almost all of the competitors are Muslim. This isn't an enforced rule, it's just a gesture that both faiths make to the other.

Does it mean if there were more beauty pagents, the world would be a more peaceful place?

If it does, i definately agree....

You know, the contestants...they always answer the questions bit with "World Peace!"

What I want to know is that the way to world peace is showing their knockers off...

Miss GORAZDE was chosen this past week as well.

You won't know Gorazde, but it's a very important city to Bosnian Muslims. Surely you know Srebrenica? Well, Gorazde is literally a Srebrenica that survived. It was U.N. Safe Haven, filled with tens of thousands of Muslim/Catholic/Jewish refugees from other areas of the country. It was being shelled and sniped every day, but they managed to hold out until the end of the war.
