I recently had a chance to visit the eastern part of China, Shanghai, Wuxi, Suzhou, and Hangzhou. It was a great and memorable trip. China surely has developed much in the past 10 years. There are still some unpleasant sights, but of course, every cities or coutries have those ugly parts. :)

Suzhou - Beautiful City. nice mixture of old and new structures. love this city. too bad, didn't stay here that long.

Hangzhou - The old capital city of Song Dynasty - West Lake (Xihu) and surrounded area are beautiful. but the skyline is so-so. The tour guide told me that this city is one of the richest cities in China. nice. Most taxis are Audi and Mercedes;)

Back to Shanghai-The largest city in China. The skyline in Pudong area totally looks amazing and futuristic. but skyscrapers on the other side are just okay.

The underwater subway tunnel crossing the river. very fancy.

it seems like Wuxi and Hangzhou are better than Shanghai.

China emerged to the top of my favourite countries list so quickly. I remember 5 years ago I really didn't give a damn about it, but whoa! it improved so much and it's really impressive, one of the most impressive countries this decade.

a little Mandarin. as my family background is Chinese but using different dialect though - Chaozhou Hua or Teochew.;)

oh really, wow..that's cool. Wuxi is also a nice city but not that lively at night imo. but Pearl from Lake Taihu sure looks nice:)
