Has anyone heard of this. I saw it in the Sunday Mail yesterday. $100M Marina development that will have state of the art facilities which will be unrivaled in Australia. It will be located on a 15ha block (500m river frontage) right beside the Gateway Bridge. What's everyones thoughts?

Great idea, renders don't look that bad either.

Looks great, the placement in murrarie is good for the area too.

that seems awfully close to the Gateway Bridge. How will it affect the duplication?

Obviously it wont, since it wouldnt gain approval if it affected.

this will make the entry into brisbane via river a whole lot nicer especially for the river terminal just a lil further down at Hamilton.

the duplication will be on the other side of the bridge... so shouldnt affect it

i thought the duplication was on the marina side. the pic on the govt website suggests that. there are industrial buildings on the other side

oh? it is too, my applogies... then it is quite a valid question! the picture dosnt look like theres much room left for the duplication does it?

Yeah but it is only an artists impression, and if Brizbane2 is correct about this proposal popping up 2 years ago then they wouldnt have known. Also, if you look at the plan there does seem to be enough room for the bridge to go in.
