To add to the large amount of new student accommodation in Leeds is this smart looking 15 storey block.

I'm not 100% sure but I think this is a render of the back of this. This is an Ocon development no? Well anyway...

his construction of a new thirteen storey post tensioned concrete structure for use as student accommodation is one of Ocon’s largest projects offering 976 student beds of standard, deluxe and disabled specification.

The project also benefits from a leisure centre with swimming pool and retail units.

The construction period is due to last 83 weeks.

I suppose it could be. The windows etc seem the same, and the back and sides seem like the front without the red bricks or terracotta, whatever they're using. But leisure centre, swimming pool and retail units - they seem to have the lot, these students. And the side that appears closest to the hotel on the picture seems to have an extra floor or so.

Couldn't find the thread for the Triangle student block being built over the road so thought I'd post here. Went past tonight on the bus and the first bit of cladding is on. Looks incredibly dissapointing. It's an incredibly underwhelming redbrick. I'm hazarding a guess this will be the most prominent detailing too. Makes me long for terracotta tiles.
