Im not to familiar with northern Europe, but I love Greece, and Italy.
Taxes are higher and inadequate socialized health care is does not compensate for it.
Gas prices are too high, but I'm sure that will also occur here as well.

I think probably 90% or more of Americans have never been to Europe, and thus are just idiots if they say they "hate" Europe. Besides, Europe is a continent, with many, many nations; I mean Italy to Poland, Spain to Norway, they are all just too different to say such a thing. Besides, I think most people that frequent Skyscrapercity would enjoy Europe, because it's cities by and large are more urban than most American cities. Also, are you talking North America, or South America? If North America, are you talking Canada, U.S.A., or Mexico?

I don't hate Europe persay, I think it's a wonderful place for the most part. I do not like how Europeans seem to know everything about the US when they really don't.

As I said inthe UK Skybar, I don't like Europeans who have lots of snootiness/smugness, lack of personal space, and American-haters (who hate someone automatically and think they're superior).

N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Europe is ideally perfect and America should be more like it.

Perfect? Tell that to the islamic people bombing subway trains.

I don't know jack shit about Europe except what I read. I read of problems of high unemployment, slowly declining population, immigrants having a very difficult time integrating, racism, and extremely high cost of living with very little personal space. There is also an issue concerning the government having too much control over the lives of individuals.

I've been to Europe once...greatest experience of my life and I loved it but was SOOOOOO glad to be back in the good ole USA. I don't think most people in America hate Europe or are Anti-Europe but Americans are actually just hard-core Pro-America. What I like more about America than Europe is safety, health regulations, and consumer protections. Those were by far the biggest I noticed right away. Europe is definitly nice, but there is no place like the United States of America.

I recently got back from a 16-day trip to Italy. My problems with the place:

-laziness
-rudeness
-abominable security, especially on intercity trains, which one would think would be better protected since the attacks in Spain
-general incompetence and inefficiency

They do have nice food, though.

Let's not let our forum turn into the UK section where threads like these are the norm, Let's not lower our standards! :)
