Do us a favour - these forums are mainly to focus on construction and development.

If people want to focus on negative aspects theres plenty of political forums where you can discuss your hatred to anything.

I don't understand what the problem is??

Okay, how about who is the biggest supporter of Israeli construction and development who is a Goyim and also non-Israeli?

Hmm..

yes goyim isnt used almost in hebrew.
we say foreigners like everyone else: zarim
a foreigh investor: mashkia zar
a foreign worker: oved zar

goyim is only for the talmud era..and religios people use it..

70-80% of israelies are secular people!
half of them don't know nothing about Talmud

The Talmud is used by haters of Judaism who dont understand whats written there and put quotes like the Talmud hates foreigners or "goyim" which you can do with any text - just quote out of context and presto you got a book preaching hate. The fact that is overlooked is that Jews as opposed to other nations have never persecuted any other peoples, never conquered any foreign lands, never led attacks on foreign soils, never colonized any other nation driving it to extinction, and Judaism is probably the only religion that doesnt want to convert others to it and makes it very hard to join it, etc.

Yes, it reminds me that the Russian prosecution system wanted to initiate an investigation of the Jewish religious book ‘shulkhan arukh’(from 17th century I believe) saying it preaches for hatred. They abandoned the idea.

But what you said is arguable. In the 2nd century BC the kingdom forced the remainings of a nation named edom to convert into Judaism. just for being fair, most of the edomites were already killed by then by the Arab tribes invading from the south in that time and were already misplaced into the area were Israel ruled. Anyway evidence say that edomites integrated very well later on.
The Hebrews also killed most of the cnaans by the time the first kingdom was established in the 11th century BC.

but I am sure you know that and you didn’t mentione that as ancient history. There are endless ethnic groups that don’t exist today for one reason or another, its just we have them recorded in the Torah.

!5 % of israelis are ultra orthodox 25% are orthodox and most of many are traditional.
by the way goyim isn't a bad word or anything is a word that actually means nation and that it.
Am=Goy

Azazel

most people in Israel aren't traditional. most people are secular. It's quite easy to calculate even by the election polls. Shinui+Labor+Meretz are secular. So is at least half of Likud.

Shohad
July 28th, 2005, 03:52 PM

Am=Goy

25% traditional and religious!!!!! 5 ultra ortodox!

don't forget only emmigrants from Russia are 20% of israeli population! and they are ultra secular......20% russians +50 israelies.......argentinian jews are also ultra secular (+100,000)

ZOHAR

also Ihud Haleumi(Avigdor Liberman) the most russian emmigrants votes for him.....

so Shinui-ultra ultra secular(15)+Meretz also ultra ultra secular(6)+Avoda(21)+Ihud Haleumi (5 from 8)+half of Likud(75% of members of Likud wanted Shinui and not Shas in coalition) and plus the most of secular not voting!
it's not secret that all all religious/ultra ortodox going to vote......!(Shas +Yahadut ha Tora)only 16 mandates!

Reply to Zohar - post 15. First time in 1967. Stayed in T.A. and toured arond by day excursions to Golan and Hagalil, Yerushalayim and a large Kibbutz not far from T.A. Second time in a grouptour for travelagents organised by KLM staying at Dan Hotel (very nice!). Visiting Yer. under assistance of very good guide and saw a newly discovered Roman road just below Old City. Was, according to the guide, filled with sand during the Jordanian period (48-67). Now beautifully restored. 3rd time T.A. was my honeymoon destination (Aug. 19-26, 1980). Did Yer. , Golan/Hagalil and Dead Sea. I forgot a 4th time, when Sinai was admin. by Isreal. Then I did Eilat and the Red Sea coast all the way down to Ofira (now Sharm-el-Sheikh). Israel is my 3rd favorite country to visit, after Philippines and Japan, before Uk, Usa, Canada, Spain and Singapore and Hong Kong. Tourism is well-organised, I saw T.A. growing, 1st time only Shalom Meyer Tower, later high-rise hotels between Hilton and Dan, then Ramat Gan near Diamond Center. Now retired so I cannot use Travel Agents reduced air, hotel and excursionfare anymore, and with kids at University travelling temporarily beyond budget hoping to return someday after they become selfsupporting. Shalom ve Le Hitraot! (Mabuhay=Shalom in Tagalog) If ever you want to visit NL or PH you can always contact me. Suddenly remember name of Kibbutz -was Givat Brenner. Excursions by Egged Tours (also called Egghead!)

egghead... rotfl!! good one!!

you wouldnt recognize israel since the 80's
its like two different countries for better or worse.
The 80's is now sen like the age of innocence in comparison
to the capitalisic high-tech multi-national israel of today.
for example, since 1990, over 2 million cars have been imported.
the agriculture as an employment sector is slowly vanishing.
High tech has become the dominant sector. Gaps between rich and poor
are so frightening you'll see lots of beggers and homeless in T.A.
Kibbutsim or now only semi-communal or almost fully privatised.
If you dont have money, youre worthless. te socialist state is better
than an in the western world, but quickly on the death bed.
people are more suspicios, more calculated, less open.
So in my eyes, though youll find Israel (maybe too) similar to
any U.S state or city, its for worse.

No, the 80s are teh suck. the 60s ruled. 80s were the beginning of all the bad things that happened in Israel. the good things would've happened anyway.
