Don Pacho July 28th, 2005, 03:16 AM DuPont Towers Sales Center
These renderings show the preliminary design of the sales center for the DuPont Towers (http://skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=235740) that is being designed by an interior design Italian firm that is also doing some design work at the Grovenor House (http://www.grovenorhouse.com/index_mkt.htm), now under construction in Coconut Grove, Florida

Pablo63090 July 28th, 2005, 05:32 AM Cool. But what if the sales center is built, but the DuPont towers are never built. :weird:
Roark July 28th, 2005, 06:08 AM Cool. But what if the sales center is built, but the DuPont towers are never built. :weird:That is not very likely. This is Ugo Columbo. He is a very savvy developer and those types of developers do not build sales centers until they have enough hard contracts to obtain a construction loan.
His track record includes two luxury high rises in Brickell when the real estate market for the Brickell area was stagnant...you can be sure that if he spends $1M on a sales center the risk will be out of the deal for him.
The Mad Hatter!! July 28th, 2005, 07:06 PM i like the way these sales centers keep getting more and more expensive,no more little tiny portable trailers with plastic signs.
Dale July 28th, 2005, 07:30 PM That sales center looks a little tall. Did they get an FAA waiver ?
900Biscayneguy July 28th, 2005, 07:44 PM Any idea how I can get in touch with the sales office?

Also, how about the F.A.A.??? :bash: , they have to give Ugo Columbo :| height approval, LOL

It's going to require a permit anyway by the City of Miami even if it is a temporary structure...
The building department determines this FAA and other issues.

Dale July 29th, 2005, 05:05 AM Don -
Doesn't the sales center seem a bit tall to you ? Aren't you afraid of actually flying into it ?
rider_of_rohan July 29th, 2005, 05:21 AM I dont think I would visit this sales center, those guys in the picture look a little shady, and there isnt anyone on the roof or deck looking for planes. That is way too much money to spend on a sales center, bring back the trailer and lower the price of the units.
