I like this city. The setting looks sweet and the buildings look nice, maybe a little bit old, but thats ok. I also read somewhere that the city government is known for their progressive ideas and plans. I like that. A progressive city government is a good city government. Notice how I keep saying city. ;)

And its true, most of its buildings are from the 70s when Colombia experienced a boom in its economy, thats when not only this skyline was made, but other 4 colombian skylines were lifted :)

But expect to see new scrapers in the future, Colombian economy is recuperating from an eternal recession and is now growing :)

Voto con un 10, primero por que soy de Bogotá, pero siendo objetivos creo que mi ciudad tiene uno de los Skyline más completos, varios edificios con cerca de 200 metros, arquitecturas variadas (torres de los 70´s, torres de acero y vidrio, formas variadas). Conozco Santiago, Caracas y Buenos Aires y aunque tienen buena vista, no es tan masiva como la de Bogotá. 10, 10.

Es para mi el segundo Skyline más bello despues del de C. de Panamá

I personally think that my city's skyline is the best in Latin America. Downtown Bogota has got 10 or so very tall buildings, which, even though are not very new, are certainly an icon of the city.

A second smaller "downtown" has got more density and much newer buildings. This one is a few miles north of the main downtown area so to speak. This second downtown is also known as the financial center of the city, but its buildings don't reach the 100-mt mark. The main downtown area, which we are here rating is also known as the International Centre.

Other than that, Bogota is full of new and old buildings made of brick, which make it look very beautiful and colorful; they perfectly contrast with the green mountains in the background.

Ohh I forgot my comment on the buses... what happens is that this bus system is an outstanding feature of Bogota as it has become sort of an exemplary public transportation system not only for the country, but for the overall region.
I have even heard that some majors of cities as far away as South Korea and India have come to visit us and check out the transportation system for a possible implementation of a similar one in their own cities.

These pictures don't do Bogota any justice. The mountains and hills have added to Bogota's beauty and this city is impressive and dense in many areas. I know this because i've visited my native country's capital on several occasions throughout my life and the progress is noticable. many countries from around the world, specially central american countries, have made the Transmilenio (Transmillenium; Bogota's bus system) their bus systems' role model.

MONSERRATE: montaña que domina el paisaje de Bogotá. Su cima se encuentra a 3,152 msnm y desde allí se obtiene quizás la mejor panorámica de la ciudad. Es uno de los lugares más turísticos de la ciudad.

One of the best skylines in Latam.

love the way it backs up to the mountains. i gave it a solid 7/10

Some all glass 200-300m scrapers can spruce up an otherwise dated but impressive skyline. 8.5 Very attractive street level shots from Fenix_2007!

7/10 would have been higher but I've never been a huge fan of brick high rises.

I did like the city though, and would visit it again if I have another chance.
