Ayalon Mall (Kenyon Ayalon)

This mall, the first to be built in israel (only in the late 80's!) is the most successful mall in israel and people say it is in profits one of the most successful malls in the whole world. 130 stores , cinemas , places to eat and tens of thousands of people a day. It is very close to the national football stadium. The main new rival of this mall is actually two: Ramat Aviv mall (for the more exclusive shopping, richer) and azrieli mall - probebly now the best known mall, below the towers.

this mall is one floor only, spread across 25,000 meters. 2300 free parking spaces

What makes this mall so great s the climing wall that is the main feature through the three floors of the mall. The mall looks small from the outside but is very big and very nice to stay in from the inside. Biggest mall in Ashdod I think, and very profitable like all malls here.

3 floors and 4th is holmes place and roof garden and auditorium floor.
opened 7 years ago. 35,000 sqm. 3500 parking spaces. 200 businesses.
30,000 visitors a day, and 50,000 visitors a day in peak days.

specialty: the mall is connected both to the army HQ of the kirya and both to
the Shalom train station so including shoppers, thousands pass through it to get to the train. Also a food hall with tens of different restaurants. through the large skylight dome can be seen azrieli towers.

It is the biggest shopping mall in Ashdod, all of you said is true from the outside it looks small but from the inside its huge, probably one of the most "chic" shopping centers in Israel, many luxury shops and very simple yet classy look. As you mentioned the relatively new mall (opened less than 2 years ago) is now the most successful shopping center in Ashdod (second to Lev Ashdod center)

BTW a new mall opened in Ashdod few months ago "Star Center" the over-talked about Revivo mall which is a nice outdoor shopping center

If I had to choose which Israeli mall is the best, I would probably choose Kenyon Azrieli especially since it has so many places and restrooms almost everywhere so I won't have to run to the other end when I feel like I need to go. ;)

Very beautiful malls. You may not believe it, but in Bolivia there's only one mall properly said: the MegaCenter in La Paz. We have, of course, a lot of shopping centers, but they are power centers or shopping galleries, not malls.

Also in Bolivia there are no chains like Castro or Honigman (of national extent), we have many chain stores, but few of them are of national extent, they are located only in two cities: Santa Cruz and La Paz, the main cities of Bolivia.

Interesting contrasts between a 7 million people country (Israel) and a 10 million people country (Bolivia).

Personally..all the Israeli malls have the exact same thing. Same stores....some of them have private stores, but they usually they bad.

Pacific Mall is an ethnic or Chinese mall, I guess. It's a waste of time, BTW. No deals. Everything's as expensive as anywhere else, although the food is great. I'm sure Israeli malls are just as stratified as Canadian ones. Malls in Ramat Aviv probably have very different stores than the mall in the TA bus station. Anyway, malls aren't so great as they're mostly car-dependent, waste a lot of land, and often destroy traditional shopping areas. Hopefully, mall-building in Israel is coming to an end and now they'll just upgrade and consolidate what they have.

Well it's not the main city mall. It's in the east of exit of the city. I never been there so i can't tell if it's big or small from inside. From outside it looks big.

It's pretty small from the inside as well..nothing to do in it besides the cinema..
It used to have a huge whole right on the left part of the building in the picture from the Qassam hit

When you build hotels by the beach you blocking the sea view to the public and making it open only to hotel guests. There are plenty hotels on in the beach front. Live some place open for the public. The balcony in the mall has great view on Eilat bay and Akaba.

I dunno..... There isnt much space to build anything around that area. I think the area is good. But yea, a mall would be nice..problem is that in that area its so congested that i dont think anyone would wanna build a hotel there in the first place.

There are enough hotels on the beach. By building only hotels on the beach you taking the beach from the public and give it to the rich (the hotel owners, the guests etc.). The balcony in the mall is one of the greatest spots that watches on Eilat bay and Akaba.

It's still a pretty dead mall. People only go there for the cinema, black bar and maybe some of the bars. The Kiryon is really close and so much better... and it's always full. Still Lev HaMifratz would be a great location for a mall, with the trainstation and merkazit and everything, but I guess it just doesn't work out.
