I think the entrance to the city from donmuang is perfect with all the highrises on the highway and finally come in to a big sea og highrises. From the new aiport it will be like comming in to the traffic on sukhumvit road with ugly highrises.

well, true for now. but i am sure the new aiport's surrounding area will look very nice in the future.
and just like other cities, Shanghai, HK, Sing, the way from their airport to the city center is just so-so u know;) I just hope that the govt. will make the expressway (motorway) that connect it from the city center looks great with trees along the road like in Singapore.:)

It's considered as close to the city center lah. coz airports in other cities like Sing, HK, SH or even Tokyo are quite far from the downtown area (some are more than 50 km.)

Narita Airport is about 60 km. from the city. You almost have to take a train for 2 hours from your home to get there.
