Away from the center of Osaka.Across the river that separates the city
with the northern districts lies the fourth largest red light district
in this splawling urban mass that I call home.

Welcome to Juso.After Dotobori(Namba),The Higashi dori(Umeda) and
Kyobashi,Juso plays host to some of the cities cheaper and more sleazy
establishments.

While teaching in the Juso school today I went for a walk around the
streets in my lunch break and snapped some action shots with my Mobile
phone. Not quite the quality of the Nikkon Coolpix but not bad.In a way
it portrays a more realistic and raw image of some of Osaka's lesser
known areas.

Juso rocks!!!!

I will return soon to the area armed with a more powerful camera to
capture this truly amazing place.

I wont label the pictures. They speak for themselves.A very interesting
part of the city. The last picture was taken from the top floor of my
school overlooking the station if you are wondering.Very down to earth
compared to the shinny modernism of the city.

Interesting thread. The 2nd pic's funny, showing a "Sexy Cabakura" with the "Lupin the 3rd-Anime". They obviously changed the Kanji from "3rd" to "13th" :)
("Juso" is written "13" in Kanji)

I havent really tried that hard to learn it.I used to study. But do speak it everyday in various sitiutiations.

I can communicate just about everthing I want to say in Japanese.I cant write and can only read some of the language.

I have no problems with everyday conversation. The real problem for me is when they start talking fast.I lose track of what they're saying

If you study 3 hours a day and speak it regularly you can learn it in 3 years from what ive noticed from Foreingers who have taken a serious approach.

Im returning to Australia next year.So no point in me putting that much time into learning it.
