Most of the students end up in Foreign Affairs department or something related to inter-governmental organisations. You can even get recruited in national spy agencies.

I'm currently doing a major in pol sci, and I actually have a class which is intro to international relations. It was just something that interested me, and my plans for after, either a lawyer, or going to get an MBA.

I'm a fourth year political science major. I'm contemplating going to graduate school next year to do an MA in international relations; I intend to go to law school the year thereafter. I find it funny that a lot of political science students have law school as their ultimate goal. I have several classes where 50 to 75% of the class wants to go to law school. What seems to escape many of them is that most of them won't get into law school. Unless of course the courses I'm in are anomalous, in that they have a disproportinately high number of academic achievers enrolled. I think a large number of political science students probably end up working in bureaucracies of various sorts and civil society organizations.
