Yeah....sure, just one big suburb....just like Atlanta, Houston, and every other so-called "city" in the South.

Baltimore is really a pretty city. And it has a nice skyline. I've always wondered why it wasn't more dense and had more height in it's downtown. The potential is there for Baltimore...they've let it pass by. Hopefully, they'll add some significant height in the next decade or so...(it needs several towers above 700 feet, IMO, for a city of its' size and stature).

^I agree with you. Baltimore, while dense as hell, certainly can use more height. The city is actually experiencing a resurgence. There are two 30+ story apartment towers slated for the CBD which should help. The two Four Seasons Hotel and Condo towers, while not the tallest structures in the city (I think one is 25 floors and the other is 18 floors), they'll help make the skyline more dense. Currently under construction is a 28 story apartment and office tower which will also help.

We're waiting (with high anxiety) for the plans to be released for one of the last available waterfront parcels. A Philadelphia developer purchased the site and will likely build a mixed used tower which will include apartments, offices and a St. Regis hotel. This tower will likely be Baltimore's new tallest. Most of us are thinking (praying/hoping) it'll top out around 60-65 floors or so.

New tall development is coming though.
