WHOA! Great pictures and great pano Cliff! :okay:

I MUST visit this place the next time I am in Singapore......so how do I get there? Just ask at the information counter or what? :)

Cliff
December 27th, 2003, 03:55 PM
You go to the counter just outside Carrefour and buy the thicket, its $5 per person. That is Tower 4.

You will then be brought to the top via a lift. But beware, there is a time limit of 10 minutes to stay up there.:)

Golden Mile Complex is so ugly!

July 28th, 2004, 08:25 AM
Well I think Golden Mile complex is funny ^^ It looks messy but funny.

I didn't know about this rooftop access on Suntec ! I may go there some day, I go to Suntec quite often for the digital projector at Eng Wah cinema ^^
How did you manage to get to the roof of Pearl Hill Appartment ? I thought about going there already 'cause the view on the CBD has to be one of the best in S'pore :-) But the guard would not let me enter although I told him I would have let him my passport for the time I'm up there. No way he would let me go. Blah ^^

14 Jan 2005 Suntec Roof Top

I went up... but, felt $10 too expensive just for the view... cos it's not possible to get do a full 360degrees panorama of the buildings... got blocked by other suntec towers... :(

it just doesnt seem logical to me.. i never see planes flying over these areas THAT low!

furthermore its all just looks like the same height... it makes for the most boring cityscape ever. the hdb flats look super bland. and the condominiums already look bland enough.

i would prefer to change it :D

I paid $10 and followed this man up to 43rd flr before we took another lift to 44th flr and walked up a flight of stairs... to take the "360 degrees" panorama... you can imagine how disappointed I am... cos the back is blocked by other suntec city towers... :P

They changed the staff to adults??!!Thats bad!

Those "O"level "wait-ers" are much better, they don't care and let you stay longer, hehe.:D

Did you go alone??(I mean no other people going up too?)

They should add a revolving bar on top of suntec where 360 degree view is possible.

RafflesCity
September 29th, 2005, 04:24 PM
Thats true..the view is hindered in some parts...

but I think the rooftop will lose its appeal once SG Flyer & Orchard Turn are up

hyacinthus
September 29th, 2005, 04:28 PM
Thus, all the more they should top up with a revolving bar to avoid blockage in some parts. It's probably easier as the building is already there.

RafflesCity
September 29th, 2005, 04:32 PM

true lor...but if you go once in a while, it should be ok for now...you can try taking night pics from there on weekends.

Once the Flyer opens...I guess this deck will become redundant

The fireworks are for the Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006, which is considered somewhat part of the August 9 National Day (41st year of independence) celebrations. Its been an annual event for the past few years and is shot into the air from where Singapore's future integrated resort by Las Vegas Sands (hotels, convention centres, retails, entertainment, casinos) would be located at Marina Bay.

RafflesCity
October 29th, 2006, 12:21 PM
I first saw the Land Tower lit up like that in 2003, but I cant be sure if it was like that before.

In 2002-2003, Land Tower had some additions made to its roof to get a new 'crown'

The rooftop is definitely open to the public, accessed through Tower4. Looks like it will be very packed on National Day...where there will be limited availabilities for people wanting to go up.

Yes but do so from the counter. Phone-bookings are not very reliable if there is high demand.
