crazyjoeda August 5th, 2005, 09:01 AM Windsor should build a skyline better than Detroits, the bar is pretty low I think there is a chance since Canada.
Blitz August 5th, 2005, 08:10 PM Here's a couple shots I took recently

JARdan August 5th, 2005, 11:15 PM Is that a gay bar? certainly a lot of guys dancing together....
I doubt it. It looks like the guys are mingling through the crowd trying to get closer to the snatch dispersed throughout the crowd.

Oaronuviss August 6th, 2005, 07:03 AM /\ That's awesome. I've NEVER seen a pic from that angle, and I live here.
Siopao August 6th, 2005, 09:45 AM ^^lol? :hilarious

They were taken on Belle Isle in Detroit.

The skyline looks big here.
Macman722 August 24th, 2005, 05:56 AM Nice pictures! Is it common for Windsor residents to cross over to Detroit and vice-versa?
samsonyuen August 24th, 2005, 10:46 AM Nice pictures. I think Windsor's been secret getting prettier. How often do Windsorites go to, say, Farmer Jack's or Texaco across the border just for groceries or gas?
Lucky 24 August 24th, 2005, 03:07 PM Usually Windsor has the lowest gas prices in the country...so I doubt many actually cross over for the sole purpose of refueling. I know lots of young Detroit people come over to Windsor because the drinking age is only 19 in Ontario compared to 21 in Michigan.
Oaronuviss August 24th, 2005, 04:10 PM Nice pictures! Is it common for Windsor residents to cross over to Detroit and vice-versa?
Very common.
Blitz August 25th, 2005, 01:09 AM Nice pictures. I think Windsor's been secret getting prettier.
Sounds kinda crazy but that's one of the top priorities of the mayor right now.

When the US/Canadian dollars were similar back in the early '90s, this was fairly common. I remember my parents going over quite a bit for gas and shopping. Doesn't happen now though because of the low Canadian dollar and the much higher tolls to get across the border.
Steeltown August 25th, 2005, 01:15 AM I went to the American side not too long ago and couldn't believe how much their cheese product cost down there. It's like 99 cents for cream cheese!! Whoa!
jada August 26th, 2005, 03:17 AM I dont quite understand all the low quality bar shots..I am sure some forumers have better Windsor photos than this? Lets see them!
Blitz August 27th, 2005, 12:00 AM ^ Hey, I posted a couple! Allright, here's a few more I've taken...

Jaybird August 27th, 2005, 12:43 AM I like the first Windsor skyline shot, and the few pics you posted, Blitz, of the downtown, the crispier ones!

jada August 27th, 2005, 02:38 AM Thanks Blitz! Youre our one good oldschool Windsor forumer. :) Youre good at repping your city.
Blitz August 27th, 2005, 06:25 AM Thank you fellow old-schooler. :)
Oaronuviss August 27th, 2005, 07:06 AM I must be the one bad one then.
(December 2002?)
Blitz August 27th, 2005, 07:26 AM ^ You're an excellent Windsor rep, Oar. About old-schoolers...those are the people that were here well before SSC even existed (when it was known as WSF).
Jaybird August 27th, 2005, 08:03 AM ... and I am just a growing enthusiast of Windsor! Too bad most people get it confused with its big brother across and north the border and river. Although I admit sometimes I did go a little (or maybe a lot) overboard.
I met a person who was visiting the city from Alberta the last time I was there, and he told me he thought Windsor was "beautiful" and "interesting", when he saw me with my digital camera. Certainly it is that in some areas of the city, although I think "vibrant" is a better the riverfront and areas of Windsor, because when I first visited the city four years ago, I thought VIBRANT was the perfect word for the downtown and waterfront. A lot better than I thought it would be. He told me to visit Alberta sometime, but I can't afford it right now.
Steeltown August 27th, 2005, 08:34 AM Jaybird most excellent moped journey to Alberta! lol ;)
