Awesome views of the City, and greenbelt around the Umgeni River
dysan1 August 8th, 2005, 10:18 AM this is developing nicely! Its looking better than pic. So far it is on the 4th floor. Will add some nice extra density to the upper morningside area, next to kensington.
SA BOY August 8th, 2005, 11:40 AM Are they building that massive development right in front of Kensington?
thryve August 8th, 2005, 11:31 PM Very mature looking building. Classy.
dysan1 August 9th, 2005, 08:44 PM this dev is not in front of any building, so blocks no views.
It is right on Trematon drive, the Burman Bush nature reserve is right in front of it. it is 100m from Kensington.
It is on land that was kept as a municipal reserve, there is one other site next to it which is also being developed, but will be a small retail centre
thryve August 11th, 2005, 12:23 AM I really love this development- good location, and I LOVE the simple, underdone design... thank God for the simplicity- it is so sophisticated ;)
dysan1 August 23rd, 2005, 10:19 PM glad u like simplicity too! simplicity is underrated!!! Must put the constructions pics for this one up, it is getting rather high now, 4th floor.
datilguy August 24th, 2005, 01:35 AM I think its cool.....seems like Huge balcony space! And as been said before it will bring more density to Morningside.
SA BOY August 24th, 2005, 07:56 AM looking foward to the pics, do you have any on sanzala?
dysan1 August 24th, 2005, 11:33 AM will go get of sanzala! keep forgetting it exsists!!
SA BOY August 24th, 2005, 12:25 PM dont say that , I have a unit there.
dysan1 August 24th, 2005, 12:34 PM sorry! its just a bit out of the way! will make a thread for it so that we can chat about it there, have many q's which i think u can answer.

SA BOY September 12th, 2005, 01:49 PM the appartment I bought is down there on the right more
datilguy September 12th, 2005, 05:49 PM Construction is coming quickly...look at those towers in Morningside!!.....I had no clue..!!!
dysan1 September 18th, 2005, 04:14 PM did u think morningside was very low lying dev?
datilguy September 19th, 2005, 04:46 AM No, but I was thinking more midrise type stuff.....and I wasnt expecting flagship towers like the ones above :)
SA BOY September 19th, 2005, 08:19 AM thoise towers are at the end of the berea (the hills name ) on the northern side and are clustered with about 6-8 towers up to 28F. There are loadfs of appartment blocks on the Berea as it stretches over 4-5 KM and range from the low rise up to 15-20F resi towers with some office blocks and some shopping malls.
Great place to live. I lived in Innes rd and it was fantastic with the views etc
datilguy September 19th, 2005, 08:30 AM How come we dont see too many office highrises? Most seem to be 3-8 floors blocks....as opposed to highrise towers.
SA BOY September 19th, 2005, 08:35 AM its cos the berea (morningside, musgrave , glenwoow etc) are a residential suburb and are only 5 min from the city CBD
dysan1 September 20th, 2005, 03:14 PM just to clarify, the Berea comprises: Musgrave, Essenwood and Lower Berea. Morningside, Stamford Hill, and on its lower slopes, Greyville, are all separate areas, but tend to often be classed as part of the berea.
Glenwood is totally separate and can itself be broken into many areas: Bulwer, Davenport, Glenwood upper and Ridge.
The berea has a population of 250 000.
datilguy September 21st, 2005, 01:57 AM 250,000?!?! Gosh, thats way higher than I thought. How many people live downtown do you know?

SA BOY December 13th, 2005, 07:23 AM I looked at these on initial sale and thought they were overpriced , but then again it was a completly different design
Durbsboi December 13th, 2005, 08:11 AM I know somebody who bought an apartment in this building, his is right on the left wing, the projected view will be of Umhlanga & to the Point. Really lovely aprtments I must say, his is a 3 bedroom & study! I think he picked it up for R1,1 million, good value for such a big apratment, those size units at Simbithi will sell for R4 million.
dysan1 December 13th, 2005, 07:50 PM Yeh, i think this will be a great building.
There are preliminary plans for a small boutique retail centre next this dev. It will include 2 restaurants, a cafe and 3 small stores, with a Woolworths foodstore.
romanSA December 13th, 2005, 08:38 PM Great news, M! Hope it comes through!!!!!
dysan1 December 13th, 2005, 09:10 PM yeh...perfect for u jerome... :)

Durbsboi April 10th, 2006, 09:24 AM This project is coming out shweet. Cant wait till its ready, my boss already got numerous calls asking for his flat, willing to pay up to R200 grand more than the price he payed, but I dont think his selling this one.
Dee17 June 28th, 2010, 12:47 PM Hi, does anybody know of any new development in the monrningside/musgrave area? Looking for a neat apartment/penthouse with views.
