There is a link between these places, but it's a cultural one that only people who grew up in the UK might know.

No, there is a (vague) clue in the thread title and the pic I chose for Bulgaria was chosen as the thread was originally to be titled "Underground, Overground...". Again this is quite a British reference.

No one got any more guesses?

I bet if you put the four answers you have so far into the same search on Google you would get the final answer.

Tomsk is indeed the right answer.

The Wombles originated as a set of stories by Elisabeth Beresford, the stories were adapted for television and Ivor Wood created puppets. In addition to becoming a popular British Children's TV series they also became a top of the charts music band with music composed by Mike Batt.

Wombles are the ultimate recyclers. They go through Wimbledon Common picking up the things those untidy humans have left behind like newspapers, gum wrappers, bus tickets, forgotten umbrellas, etc. They are very clever with their paws and make use of all the things they find.

When they reach working age, each Womble chooses his or her name from Great Uncle Bulgaria's Atlas.

There was a German language version of the program, but they changed some of the names.

^that's how I heard their hits :D
On the British Forces Radio based in Germany, whose frequency was right in between the 2 frequencies for the national pop radio station. I still watch CBBC. That badger is also a hero of mine. In my country many people hate badgers because they live where we want even more motorways.
