I have known many israeli people in bogotá, one of them once told me, that Israel and Colombia have something in common, and it is an international missperception of what each country really is. I have some Colombo-Israeli neighbors, they are very nice and they practice the Jewish religion. But their skin is white as the milk.

Well I can't really answer your question about politics in Colombia since I don't live there, but I'd guess that there is some sort of left and right political parties that pretty much rule the political spectrum in that country.
I'm not sure if some of the rebel groups(guerrillas) count as political parties tho...

The guerrillas are small and powerful groups of losers with no political agenda whatsoever, just a group of common criminals giving a bad image to the country.

British Columbia.....COLOMBIA BRITANICA....Imagino que por eso, alli viven la mayoria de los colombianos en Canada!
....in German is KOLUMBIEN.
en Ingles al igual que en muchos otros idiomas es COLUMBIA, por el nombre de CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS (Cristobal Colon)...de alli el COLUMBIA!
... por supuesto en Espanhol sera siempre COLOMBIA, pero para la mayoria del mundo No hispano hablante es COLUMBIA. :)
