Individually each tower doesnt score very well, but seen together it does create an interesting clump of slightly different heights. The choice of pastel colours is good too..certainly better than white.

Ugly colour-scheme, the width is impressive though. What's more to say.....it's typical HK residential architecture: practical and boring.

7/10 - Good contrast between the glassier sections of the facade, and the raised bands of stone that run up the towers' sides, and make them among the few round buildings I've seen that don't remind me of giant , fancy grain silos. There's also a good contrast between light stone and darker glass.

However, there are so many towers clusted together that they simply don't soar at all, the clumsy little "bottle caps" on the roofs don't flow at all from the rest of the towers, and they could have used some set backs, a bit of shiny metal, or an even darker color of glass....

Typical Hong Kong residential architecture, fairly unremarkable, though I like how the colour blends well with the greenery surrounding the city.

Highrise slums...the only thing worse are the countless numbers of other housing projects in HK where they have 20 of these mostrosities rather than just 4 of them.

I love the name though...very appropriate..it's what I feel like doing when I see them. LOL!

I understand many of you see the Belchers as just another condo in HK, and yeh it does blend in, But coming from someone who has lived there, they are terrific. And on the topic of boring colour schemes, just across from the public terrace (near the entrance) you can see another building which is, or atleast used to be bright purple! not attractive at all. peachy tones are nicer! Belchers has Pacific coffee company, Wellcome supermarket, a good gym, massive pool, close to mid levels/soho, not far from central etc. The appartments are nicely designed inside with fantastic views right across the harbour, and at night oh my god! you don't need cable (although it is good!) because the view is spectacular. :eek2:
I loooove Hong Kong! I miss it terribly! They are great towers, in fab position & i can't end this without saying the security staff are super friendly! I realise this is a skyscraper forum & not a friendly staff forum but come on! can't forget the little guys!
