here are some pictures of port colborne. i took all of these during their canal days festival, which was july 29 through august 1.

looking south down the welland canal towards lake erie. the small channel of the canal in the foreground is a section of the unwidened, original canal that was dug in the 1830's or 1840's (can't remember).

looking at some of the stores on west street, the historic road where port colborne's canal business and trade was done.

the north half of the lock 8 canal, one of the longest locks in the world. i believe it is 153 meters long.
